Participation and Choice

Human rights treaties feel it is important for every member of the community to have choice over what they wish to think and do, where they wish to travel, who they wish to associate with, so long as others are not harmed.  People are encouraged to have the option of participating in the community, especially with respect to decisions that may impact their lives.  We know that one person’s rights end when another person’s rights are violated, and sometimes what people what to do may be controversial.  This course includes some human rights materials on these issues.
